Long story short, we met, one year later I asked him out, he said no, I wore him down, and we never left each other’s side ever since that first date.
It’s safe to say it wasn’t love at first sight. But once we got to know each other, we knew it was just meant to be. We went on our first date on December 2019. When Covid hit, we had to choose between living apart for several months, or living together in Mickael’s new apartment – which needed a complete renovation. We spent the first weeks of lockdown in a half-demolished apartment, without a proper kitchen, washing the dishes in the bathroom sink. It was an adventure, and it brought us closer together. We decided to keep living together even after lockdown (not before Mickael’s gained my grandmas stamp of approval). We had many more adventures ever since, and we are sure the best is yet to come.
As everything else with us, our proposal was a bit unconventional. He asked my dad to make the perfect ring for us, but he was afraid the ring wasn’t going to be ready on time, so he told me he was going to propose beforehand.
It wasn’t a surprise, but it was all the more perfect!
